Bone fishing on Anegada is excellent and there are several local guides who offer trips around the flats and are keen to share their knowledge and expertise with their guests. The staff at the Big Bamboo will be happy to assist in arranging this for you.
Snorkelling right off Loblolly Beach at the Big Bamboo is second to none and equipment is available to rent from the shop.
Kiteboarding, kayaking and stand-up paddle-boarding are all available on Anegada and you can rent a scooter or a jeep as a fun way of getting around the island. If you prefer to take a taxi, this can easily be arranged for you.
A visit to Conch Mountain at the southern end of Anegada is interesting where the fishermen clean out the Conch shells and also the flamingo pond but, be sure to take your binoculars as the pink flamingos are some way off!
Little pottery shops and gift shops are scattered throughout Anegada and a lot of products are made on the island by local residents.
Visits to other beaches on Anegada are a must – the beaches are beautiful and appear untouched. Flash of Beauty, Cow Wreck, Keel Point, Pomato Point to name but a few – all stunning BVI beaches.
