Accommodation

COCO’S rustic wooden cottages are located at various points on the hillside and nestled amongst the trees. There are different categories of Cottage, but all offer spectacular views from your balcony. All of the Caribbean type cottages are air conditioned with private balcony, outdoor shower, king-size four poster-style beds and a hammock. Tea and coffee making facilites are also available in your Cottage.

Depending on the category of Cottage you choose at COCOS, you will either be close to the beach or further up the hillside. One of the cottages even has its own plunge pool, so you can dip and sip a cocktail, whilst gazing at the amazing view.

Dining

All Inclusive at COCOS, means All Inclusive! All meals, drinks (including premium brands), waiter service at your table (no buffets), afternoon snack at the beach bar and your mini in-room fridge re-stocked daily. Meals are served in the casual and romantic cliffside restaurant with a la carte menu and amazing ocean views.

The restaurant provides a variety of international cuisine with a strong local influence, sourcing seasonal locally grown vegetables from nearby farmers and freshly caught fish from local fishermen.

Amenities

COCOS has a small Spa – the Serenity Spa which is located next to the swimming pool and the beach. One massage per person is included in your stay and there is a variety of treatments available for guests to book at an additional charge.

Yoga or pilates classes are held twice a week and free wifi is also available to guests.

Activities

Snorkelling and kayaking are available right off the beautiful white sand beach at COCOS and if you are a golfer, the Cedar Valley Golf Course is a mere 4 km drive from the hotel.

There is plenty to do and see on Antigua – Nelson’s Dockyard at English Harbour is steeped in history and is like stepping back in time to the days of our very own Admiral Horatio Nelson. You can visit the museum, explore the local shops and cool off with a cocktail at the Copper and Lumber Store or Admiral’s Inn.

Shirley Heights is the place to be on Sundays when all the local families head there to listen to local bands, enjoy the barbecue lunches and generally “lime”.…relax!

Devil’s Bridge where the waters of the Caribbean crash around and over the years, some amazing rock formations have been formed.

Your holiday on Antigua would not be complete without booking one of the very interesting local taxi drivers to pick you up from COCOS and take you on a private tour. They will proudly relate to you historic tales about Antigua, their island home.

Of course, you can choose to relax, swim and just enjoy the beautiful white sand beach at COCOS.

Travelling to the BVI

Travelling from the UK to the British Virgin Islands

The most direct way is from Gatwick to Antigua with British Airways and onwards to Tortola with inter-Caribbean Airways, which is also a non-stop flight. Virgin Atlantic fly from Heathrow to Antigua and the onward flight is with inter-Caribbean Airways to Tortola. Alternatively, BVI Holidays can charter a private aircraft just for you and your party. You will be met when you disembark your transatlantic flight and fast-tracked through immigration and customs and taken to your waiting aircraft.

Travelling from Scotland

Flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow can also be arranged to connect with the Gatwick and Heathrow flights on certain days. Flights from regional airports can be arranged through Paris or Amsterdam to St Maarten and onwards to the BVI.

Travelling from New York, Boston or Miami

If you would like to have a few nights in New York, Boston or Miami before heading to BVI, this can also be arranged. The onward flight is via Puerto Rico which is a 35 minute hop over to the British Virgin Islands or again, a private charter can be arranged.

There are no direct flights to the BVI which is why the islands remain unspoilt, uncrowded and uncommercialised. From the summer of 2023, there will be a flight from Miami direct to Tortola.
